| Fixing bikes and getting them set up properly isn't too technically challenging. It requires a bit of patience, a bit of logical thinking, an ability to follow instructions (reading them first always helps) and having them at hand to refer to mid-job can be invaluable too. Crucially maintaining a bike requires a good toolbox. You can buy these fully equipped ready to go, or you can build them up over time. Most bike maintenance doesn't require a workshop, but if you can set aside space then a work stand (Minoura make a folding one that fits into your boot for taking to races) and a good workbench equipped with vice can be handy too. | ![]() |
